Higgstec offers multiple touch panel stack-up options. Our mainstream solutions focus on Projected Capacitive (PCAP), and we also provide Resistive Touch (RTP) structures based on application needs—covering both standard models and customization. Common options include:

• PCAP (Projected Capacitive): Main stack-ups include G/F/F and G/G (SITO/DITO), widely used in industrial, medical, rugged, and transportation HMI where stable touch and environmental robustness matter.

• RTP (Resistive Touch): Options such as F/G, GF2, and True Flat (flat-front) are available—often preferred for glove/stylus operation or certain HMI requirements.

• Delivery format: Beyond standalone touch panels, we can also support module-level integration (e.g., display pairing and bonding/assembly needs) to speed up product implementation.

Cover Lens materials are selected based on aesthetics, durability, and the target environment. Higgstec commonly supports Cover Glass and PMMA (acrylic), with thickness and material customization available.

Cover Glass

•  Typical thickness: 1.1 mm / 1.8 mm / 2.8 mm
•  Thicker designs are available for higher impact resistance or a thicker front cover
• Best for: industrial/medical/rugged/outdoor/transportation use cases requiring scratch resistance and structural strength

PMMA (Acrylic)

• Typical thickness: 1 mm / 2 mm / 3 mm
• Alternative composite materials can be considered for weight, forming flexibility, cost, or special environment needs
• Best for: lightweight designs, higher forming flexibility, or cost-sensitive projects

Quick guideline: Prioritize Glass for scratch/chemical resistance and outdoor durability; consider PMMA/composites for weight, forming flexibility, or cost.

Higgstec’s Film Sensor (thin-film sensor / ITO film sensor) options mainly include the base material (e.g., ITO base), PET film thickness, and layout resolution (L/S, Line/Space), which can be selected based on size and application needs.

Material base: ITO base as the primary option; Metal Mesh base or other composite metal materials may be considered depending on size/application

Layout resolution (L/S)

• Silver paste fine-line printing: L/S 100/100 μm

• Laser silver-paste engraving: L/S 65/35 μm

Selection scenario: If finer routing or more design flexibility is needed under certain size constraints, consider the finer L/S option. If manufacturing maturity and cost efficiency are the priority, a standard L/S with an ITO base is typically preferred.

Outdoor / High Ambient Light: The primary concern is typically minimizing the impact of reflection and glare on visibility (readability).

Indoor / Close-Range Operation: Clarity (sharpness) and perceived display quality (visual texture) are often prioritized.

Transmittance: Relates to image brightness and perceived clarity.

Reflection: Influences the mirror effect and outdoor readability.

Haze / Anti-glare (AG): Involves a trade-off between glare suppression and image sharpness (detail resolution).

Step 3: Implement via Structure and Material Selection

The choice of Cover Lens material (Cover Glass / PMMA) and its thickness directly impacts the aesthetic appearance and overall presentation consistency.

For projects with stringent optical and aesthetic requirements, it is crucial to establish clear priorities during the specification phase (e.g., prioritizing outdoor readability versus image sharpness). This ensures a precise match between materials and structural design.

Selection Scenario

If your product is primarily used outdoors or in high ambient light environments, prioritize reducing reflection and glare. If the focus is on superior indoor display performance and image sharpness, the priority should be balancing transmittance and clarity.

Available sizes depend on the product structure and conductive layer material. GFF and GG support 3"–32" as standard ranges, FG supports 4.3"–24", and GFF can be customized for sizes above 32".

Selection scenario: For projects within 3"–32", start with standard GFF or GG. If you need >32" and more conductive-layer options, custom GFF is typically the first route to evaluate.

Yes. For Higgstec capacitive touch products, ESD-protected TP designs are available based on the customer’s application requirements and the selected controller (IC). The ESD level can reach Air Discharge Max: 15 kV and Contact Discharge Max: 8 kV and above.

• ESD: Available for capacitive series; designed per use case and controller/IC

• EMI: Available for capacitive series; designed to match mechanical constraints and EMI specs

• Certification: Can meet WHCK / WHLK per IC vendor requirements

Higgstec touch panels can be customized to work with the customer’s existing controller (IC) brand/model. Actual compatibility depends on the project’s structure, size, firmware/tuning needs, and system requirements.

Higgstec verifies reliability across three aspects: environmental robustness, mechanical durability, and electrical stability. In addition to environmental aging simulation tests per model, Higgstec performs mechanical tests such as ball drop and drop tests, and can conduct electrical characterization tests (e.g., CS 10V). For detailed conditions and criteria, please refer to the product specification.

Higgstec provides a standard 2-year warranty for functional performance, excluding cosmetic/appearance issues. A one-year extension can be evaluated based on the customer’s application requirements and design feasibility.

MOQ varies by the required size and product series. Higgstec also offers standard products aligned with mainstream LCD sizes, which can significantly reduce the minimum purchase quantity.

Yes. All materials used in Higgstec products comply with RoHS, and Higgstec holds multiple international certifications related to electronic materials and relevant standards (e.g., FCC, UL, etc.). Supporting documents can be provided based on the customer’s compliance requirements. Please refer to the certificate list or contact sales for details.

Depending on the selected controller IC vendor requirements and the project specifications, Higgstec can support compliance with WHCK/WHLK (Windows-related certification requirements).

Yes. Depending on product size and the customer’s required cleanliness level at receiving, Higgstec provides two packaging options: carton and tray packaging. Both types can pass the ISTA-1A test standard to help ensure shipment safety.

To meet the diverse needs of various customers and applications, Higgstec offers standard touchscreen products across different size ranges, enabling customers to quickly complete their product selection. Customers can provide product drawings or the LCD model number, and Higgstec will cross-reference the specifications. We then recommend the optimal product configuration and structural pairing based on the actual application scenario.

If the requirement does not match a standard Higgstec model (such as special size, structure, or specification), the request will enter the new design/NPI process.

Higgstec’s design team will evaluate feasibility and then provide customized drawings and a product quotation to support prototyping and mass-production introduction.
